01

The label belongs to the selected channel

LitBuy’s Shipping Policy says it handles and pays customs clearance, duties, VAT and other applicable taxes for parcels sent through its TAX FREE channels. The statement is tied to those channels, so it should not be assumed for every shipping line or destination. Confirm the actual line shown at checkout.

02

Other lines have a different allocation

For channels outside the TAX FREE programme, the policy says the customer is responsible for clearance and applicable duties, VAT or taxes. A source item price is therefore not the complete cost of an international purchase. Compare the checkout quote, destination and current line conditions before payment.

03

A shipping label does not replace compliance

A route name does not remove local law, carrier rules or item restrictions. Do not rely on an inaccurate description or assume a label makes a restricted product acceptable. LitBuy’s current policy and checkout explain the service choice; destination law controls the local compliance question.

04

Read the exact checkout wording

A TAX FREE label should be checked at the point where you choose the line, for the actual destination and parcel you are submitting. Read the channel description rather than relying on a forum post, an old screenshot or a similar route name. Confirm that the label is visible on the selected service and that the checkout does not show a condition that changes its application.

Keep a copy of the selected line name, destination and checkout summary. This is not a substitute for official policy, but it records what was offered for that parcel at that time. If the wording is unclear, clarify it before payment; an assumption about a label is not a reliable customs plan.

05

Plan for the cost you can see

Separate the product cost, domestic purchase charges where applicable, warehouse or parcel service charges, international shipping quote and any destination costs that may apply outside the selected channel. This prevents a “tax free” label from being misunderstood as a statement about every order cost. A complete budget names each cost category instead of hiding uncertainty inside one total.

For a non-TAX FREE line, the published policy allocates clearance and applicable duties or taxes to the customer. Treat that allocation as a decision factor before shipment, not as a surprise after carrier movement. Destination rules and carrier procedures may still matter even when a channel has a favourable name.

06

Do not use declarations as a workaround

Accurate product information protects the buyer, carrier and service process. Do not choose an inaccurate description, value or category in an attempt to obtain a route result. A parcel can still be delayed, rejected or subject to local requirements, and misleading information can make a problem harder to resolve.

If a product has a feature that may affect shipping—such as a battery, liquid, chemical, branded claim or regulated use—check the exact item and route before purchase. The right conclusion may be to select another legitimate route, postpone shipment or not send the item internationally.
